About PackSpy
Every pack-opening site shows you its winners. PackSpy records every pull, hit or miss, from the public feeds those sites publish, so you can see what actually comes out rather than what gets put in the highlight reel.
How the data is collected
Collectors run around the clock and read each site's own public pull feed. When a card is pulled, we record the card, the pack it came from, the site and the time. Nothing is hand-entered and nothing is filtered out for being boring, which is the whole point.
Card values come from PriceCharting and refresh automatically. Card details such as set, rarity and artist come from TCGdex. Where a number is missing we show it as missing rather than guessing.
How reviews are written
We currently review 9pack sites. Each review is built on our own pull data plus the site's published odds, fees, shipping terms and buyback rate, read off the site itself rather than copied from another review. Every review names its drawbacks as well as its strengths.
Reviews carry a real publication and update date. Those dates move when the words change, not when a live stat ticks over, so "updated" means something. How we make money is set out in full.
Who runs it
PackSpy is run by Mumbles, who streams pack openings on Kick and posts clips as @GGspins. He rips these packs himself, which is why the reviews talk about dead packs as well as good ones. Full profile.
What PackSpy is not
We do not sell packs, hold your money, or run any kind of pack-opening product ourselves. We are not affiliated with Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company.
Opening packs is paid entertainment with random outcomes, and on average players lose money. Every site takes a margin. If it stops being fun, stop. You must be 18 or over.
