Pullbox is a box opening site for Pokémon, Magic and One Piece where every item's odds and value are printed on the box page, and they add up to exactly 100%. We worked five boxes out by hand and four of them returned about 88% of what they cost. It also runs the best battles feature in the category. Two warnings: one popular box pays far less than the rest, and the public chat is not something you want over your shoulder.
Pullbox, at pullbox.gg, is an online box opening site covering Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering and One Piece. Every box page lists each card inside it with its value and its exact chance, and on the boxes we checked those chances summed to 100%. We worked five boxes out by hand: four returned between 87.7% and 88.0% of the box price in card value, which is one of the better rates in the category, but the $88.66 Evolving Skies box returned only 73.4%. Pullbox, at pullbox.gg, is an online box opening site for trading cards. You pick a box, see every card inside it with its price and its exact chance, and open it. Pokémon is the biggest section with about 280 boxes, and Magic: The Gathering and One Piece sit beside it. What sets it apart from most box sites is that the maths is all on the page: we could work out what five different boxes actually pay without asking anyone.

Worth knowing
- The value back is not consistent. The $88.66 Evolving Skies box returned only 73.4%, well below the 88% the others paid, so check the box before you open it
- Most opens lose. On the boxes we measured, between 78.7% and 90.4% of opens return a card worth less than the box cost
- The public chat runs beside every page and is crude and unmoderated, which makes the site awkward to use in company
- We found no public data feed, so we cannot track its pulls the way we do on other sites
- The site is heavy and slow to load, and much of it will not show at all until you sign in
What Pullbox actually is
Pullbox is a box opening site. You buy a box, it opens on screen, and you get one card. What you get is decided by a list that Pullbox shows you first: every card that can come out, what it is worth, and the exact chance of it appearing.
Pokémon is the main event, with about 280 boxes running from under a dollar up to $4,250. Magic: The Gathering and One Piece have their own sections. The boxes have names rather than set names, so you get Detective Pikachu Is On The Case at $4,253, Premium Collecting at $480, Prismatic Only at $461 and Sword & Shield Chases at $190.
Around the boxes sit the other games. Battles put you against other players opening the same boxes, Brawls turn those into tournaments, Contracts let you feed several unwanted cards in and get one better card out, and an Exchange lets you swap. There is also a daily free box and a coin drop that runs on a timer.
Is Pullbox legit?
On what we can check, yes, and this pullbox.gg review found nothing that reads as a pullbox scam. The strongest evidence is the odds themselves. Pullbox lists every card in a box with a value and a percentage, and on all five boxes we worked out, those percentages added up to between 99.6% and 100%. A site hiding something does not hand you the arithmetic.
It also runs a provably fair page with its own checker, so a pull can be verified after the fact. We have read how it works but have not run a verification ourselves, and the table above says so.
The honest gaps: we have not opened a box, we have not tested a withdrawal, and there is no public data feed for us to watch, so we cannot track its pulls over time the way we do on Courtyard or Cases.gg.

This is the part worth reading. Because Pullbox prints every card with a value and a chance, you can work out what a box is worth before you spend anything. Multiply each card's value by its chance, add them up, and compare that to the price.
We did it for five boxes.
Intertwined, a Magic box at $1.01 with 50 cards in it, returns an expected $0.89. That is 87.9%.
Pokeball GO! Ice!, a Pokémon box at $1.55 with 31 cards, returns $1.36. That is 87.7%.
Pokeball GO! Pure Water!, at $3.58 with 74 cards, returns $3.15. That is 88.0%.
Top Shelf Illustrations, at $147.98 with 16 cards, returns $130.22. That is 88.0%.
Four boxes, two games, prices from a dollar to $148, and they all land within a third of a percent of each other. That consistency is a good sign, and 88% is better than most mystery box sites we have measured, which run between 72% and 90%.
One caution on method: two other boxes we tried, MISSINGNO. and Live Large or Go Home, did not list their full contents in a way we could read, so we left them out rather than publish a number we could not stand behind.
The one box that does not follow the rule
Evolving Skies is the exception, and it is worth knowing about because it is one of the boxes people will reach for by name.
It costs $88.66 and holds 27 items whose chances sum to 99.6%, so the list is complete. Worked out, the expected card is $65.11. That is 73.4% of the price, nearly fifteen points below what the other four boxes pay.
We are not saying anything is wrong with it. The odds are printed and they add up. It is simply a worse deal than its neighbours, and nothing on the page tells you so. That is exactly why we work these out.
The lesson is a general one on Pullbox: the odds being published does not mean every box is priced the same way. Read the list, do the sum, or check here first.
Most opens lose, and the numbers say by how much
The 88% figure is an average, and averages hide what actually happens. The same box lists tell you that too.
On Pokeball GO! Ice!, 89.5% of opens return a card worth less than the $1.55 you paid. On Pokeball GO! Pure Water! it is 85.4%. On Intertwined it is 86.6%. Even on the $147.98 Top Shelf Illustrations box, 78.7% of opens come in under the price.
So roughly five opens in six lose money, and the average is carried by the rare big card: a Glaceon ex at $450 on a 0.01% chance, a Magikarp at $665.98 on 0.015%. That is how every box site works, and Pullbox is more honest than most about showing you the numbers behind it. Just do not read 88% as a return you will feel.
Battles, Brawls and Contracts
Box battles are the reason a lot of people are on Pullbox rather than a plain box site. Two or more players open the same boxes at the same time, and whoever pulls the most value takes the lot. It turns an open into a head to head, and the feed shows battles running constantly.
Brawls sit on top of that as tournaments, where you win your way through rather than playing one round.
Contracts are the quietly useful one. Feed in several cards you do not want and Pullbox trades them up into a single better card, at odds it shows you. It is a sensible answer to the pile of low value pulls every box site leaves you with.
There is also a daily free box and a coin drop on a timer, so you can try the mechanics without depositing.
The chat, and why we are mentioning it
Pullbox runs a public chat down the right hand side of every page, and it is unmoderated. When we captured the site for this review, the visible conversation ran to crude jokes and language we are not going to reprint.
That is not a safety problem and it is not unusual for this kind of site, but it is a real thing to know before you open it. If you are looking at Pullbox on a work machine or with a child nearby, the chat is always there and you cannot hide it.
It is also why the screenshot on this page is cropped. The live feed and the chat both show player names, and we do not publish those.
Pokémon, Magic and One Piece
Pokémon is the deepest section by a distance, with about 280 boxes. The named boxes tell you the theme: Prismatic Only, Scarlet & Violet Chases, Sword & Shield Chases, Elite Paldean Battles, ETB For Me, Paldean Pokemon Center.
Magic: The Gathering is a full section rather than a token one. We saw Mana Crypt at $951.91, a Sauron the Dark Lord borderless and a Hobbit Collector Booster Pack come out of it.
One Piece is there too, with alternate art Luffy, Nico Robin and Edward Newgate cards showing in the feed at $65 to $385.
If you only want Pokémon and you want sealed packs rather than boxes, OpenThatPack and rip.fun open real boosters instead.
Sites like Pullbox
For box opening with published odds, Cases.gg and Upgrader are the two whose payouts we can measure from their own feeds, which Pullbox does not offer. RillaBox and Boxed.gg sit in the same space.
For Pokémon specifically, OpenThatPack opens real sealed boosters and ships worldwide, and rip.fun does the same. For graded slabs in a vault instead of raw cards, Courtyard, Phygitals and Collector Crypt are the ones to compare.

Who Pullbox is for
You want box opening across more than one card game, you want to see the odds before you commit, and battles against other people sound like the fun part. That is Pullbox, and on the numbers it is one of the better priced sites in the category.
It is not for you if you want a quiet interface, or if you want us to be tracking the pulls for you, because there is no feed we can read. And whatever you do, check the box you are about to open. Evolving Skies pays 73.4% while the box beside it pays 88%.

Pullbox has one kind of code, and it is an affiliate code. The codes streamers give out, PaymoneyWubby's included, and what people search as pullbox gift codes, are those: enter one at pullbox.gg/r/ followed by the code, and every deposit gets 5% added while the creator earns a cut. Ours is PACKSPY. You cannot change a code for seven days once it is in. We found no free-coin gift codes on the site; free coins come from the daily free box and the timed coin drop.
What is the Pullbox eggs box?
A 61-cent Magic: The Gathering box called EGGS!, and it is what a pullbox easter eggs search finds. All 21 cards in it have egg in the name, from Summoner's Egg at $5.71 on a 0.75% chance down to Biolume Egg at 12 cents on 8.8%. We did the sum on 7 September 2026: the chances add to 100% and the expected card is worth 54 cents, 88.3% of the price, in line with the other Pullbox boxes we measured. About 71% of opens return less than the 61 cents you paid.
