Some links to pack sites are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up, the site may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and in several cases the link carries a sign-up offer you would not get otherwise.

That is the only way this site earns. We do not sell ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not take payment to publish a review or to raise a score.

Every review page states whether we hold an affiliate relationship with that site, in the header area, before you reach any link. Affiliate links themselves are marked up as sponsored links so search engines can see the relationship too.

Where we have no affiliate relationship with a site, the page says that instead. We review sites we earn nothing from, because leaving them out would make the comparison useless.

• The pull data. It is recorded automatically from each site's public feed. No human edits it, and a commercial relationship cannot alter what a feed reported.
• The scores. Reviews are scored on published odds, fees, buyback rates, shipping terms and track record.
• The negatives. Every review carries a 'worth knowing' section, and we do not remove a real drawback because a site pays commission.

Order of prominence. Where several sites are a reasonable answer, a partner site may be shown first or highlighted as a pick. We think that is fair as long as you can see the underlying data and reach the alternatives, which you can.

We would rather tell you that than pretend a commercial site has no commercial interests.
