Farfetch'd is one of those Base Set uncommons that quietly won everyone's heart back in 1999, that goofy leek-wielding duck illustrated by Ken Sugimori, tucked in at #27. It's never been a chase card, but if you're here checking Farfetch'd value, you're probably holding one or eyeing one and wondering if it's worth more than the couple of dollars it looks like on the surface. Spoiler: it mostly is what it looks like, but there's a bit more to the story once you factor in grading.

The collector's take on Farfetch'd

Is Farfetch'd worth grading?

Here's the honest version: a raw Farfetch'd sits at $2, a Grade 9 jumps to $37, and a PSA 10 tops out at $151, which works out to about 85.0x the raw price. That's a real jump on paper, but gem mint is the operative word there, and hitting a true PSA 10 on a 1999 Base Set card is genuinely hard, corners soften, print lines show up, centering drifts. Grading fees, shipping, and the wait add up fast, so before you send one off, take a hard look at the corners and surface under good light. If it's clearly sharp and centered, grading can make sense. If it's got the usual Base Set wear, you're often better off enjoying it raw or selling as is.

How rare is Farfetch'd?

Across all grading companies combined, there are 1,206 graded copies of this Farfetch'd on record, and of those, only 214 have reached PSA 10. That's roughly one in six graded copies making the top grade, which tells you gem mint status isn't handed out easily even on a card this common in packs. It's not a scarce card in the raw sense, Base Set uncommons were printed in real numbers, but that population split is exactly why the PSA 10 price sits so far above the raw and Grade 9 tiers.

Where can you pull Farfetch'd?

PackSpy has tracked this card being pulled 200 or more times across packs, collector-crypt, mnstr, and courtyard, so it's not some mythical pull, it shows up. We've seen it turn up in XY Evolutions, Starter Pokémon Gacha Pack, Pack 1, Elite Pokémon Gacha Pack, and Pokémon Basic Pack, with the biggest recorded pull value on this card coming in at $45. That's the kind of thing a price guide won't tell you, since we're watching real pack openings across sites rather than just listing book values. Worth saying plainly though: pack odds are pack odds, and most rips don't return what you paid, so treat pulling one as a fun bonus, not a strategy.

Questions people ask

How much is Farfetch'd worth?+

A raw, ungraded Farfetch'd from Base Set is worth $2. That's the baseline most casual sellers and buyers will see, before grading changes the picture.

Is Farfetch'd worth grading?+

It depends on the copy. The value swings from $2 raw to $37 at Grade 9 and $151 at PSA 10, but only 214 out of 1,206 graded copies have hit that top grade, so gem mint is far from guaranteed. If your card looks sharp and clean, grading can pay off, otherwise the fees may eat into any gain.

How much is a PSA 10 Farfetch'd worth?+

A PSA 10 Farfetch'd is valued at $151, which is about 85.0x the raw price of $2. Only 214 copies have reached that grade out of 1,206 graded total, so it's the rarer end of the spectrum for this card.
