The collector's take on Mewtwo EX
Is Mewtwo EX worth grading?
So is Mewtwo EX worth grading? Here is the honest math: a raw copy runs $139, a Grade 9 jumps to $1,470, and a PSA 10 sits at $115,000, which works out to roughly 828.6 times the raw price. That gap is enormous, and it is tempting to see those numbers and picture instant profit. But gem mint is called gem mint for a reason, it is hard to hit. Grading costs money and time regardless of what comes back, and a card with a soft corner or slight print line can land you a 9 instead of a 10, which is still a solid card but nowhere near that top number. If your copy looks sharp under a light and you are patient enough to wait out the process, grading can make sense. If you are unsure, it is worth having someone experienced take a look before you submit.
How rare is Mewtwo EX?
Right now there are 738 graded copies of Mewtwo EX on record, and only 13 of those have earned a PSA 10. That is a small slice at the very top, and it tells you a lot about why gem mint copies command the price they do. When only a handful of copies out of hundreds reach perfect condition, each one becomes something collectors actively hunt for rather than casually buy, and that scarcity is a big part of what keeps the PSA 10 value so far removed from everything below it.
Where can you pull Mewtwo EX?
This is where PackSpy's own data comes in handy, since we track real pulls across pack sites rather than just relying on price guides. We have recorded Mewtwo EX pulled 76 times across collector-crypt, courtyard, packs, and lastpack, with the biggest recorded pull value hitting $773. It has shown up in packs like the Pokemon 30 Boss Battle Gacha, the 30th Anniversary Day 2: Blue, the Pokemon Pro Pack, the Elite Pokemon Gacha Pack, and the 30th Anniversary Day 1: Red. So it is not impossible to pull, but it is far from guaranteed, and opening packs chasing a specific card is always a gamble where most rips do not pay off. If you want certainty over chance, buying a raw or graded copy on the secondary market is the more predictable route.
Questions people ask
How much is Mewtwo EX worth?+
A raw, ungraded Mewtwo EX is valued at $139. From there, the price rises steeply with grade, hitting $1,470 at Grade 9 and reaching $115,000 for a PSA 10. So the answer really depends on the condition and whether the card has been graded.
Is Mewtwo EX worth grading?+
It can be, especially since a PSA 10 is worth about 828.6 times the raw price. But with only 13 PSA 10s out of 738 graded copies on record, gem mint is genuinely rare, so grading carries real risk alongside the potential reward.
How much is a PSA 10 Mewtwo EX worth?+
A PSA 10 Mewtwo EX is valued at $115,000, making it one of the more dramatic jumps you will see between raw and gem mint condition in this set. That value reflects just how few copies, only 13 in total, have reached that top grade.
