Seel #81 value & price
Reviewed by Mumbles · Updated 24 Aug 2026Related Seel & chase cards
Tap to openSeel is the friendly little seal from Neo Destiny, a set that came out back in 2002 and still has a soft spot in a lot of collectors' hearts. It's a common card illustrated by Masako Yamashita, so it was never meant to be rare, but plenty of people chase it anyway just for the nostalgia of that era. If you're trying to figure out Seel's value, the short answer is that it sits at $1 raw, which makes sense for a common from a set this old.
Price history
InteractiveRaw value is $1.47, down 12% over the past year, with an all-time high of $2.85 in March 2021.

The collector's take on Seel
Is Seel worth grading?
Here's the honest picture: a raw Seel is a $1 card, but a PSA 10 jumps all the way up to $24, which works out to 18.3x the raw price. A Grade 9 lands at $21, so even a near perfect copy holds solid value. That said, grading costs money and takes time, and there's no guarantee your copy comes back gem mint. With a card this old, whitening, print lines, and edge wear are common, so before you send Seel off, take a hard look at the corners and surface under good light. If it looks clean to your eye, grading can pay off given that 18.3x multiplier, but if it's a rough copy, it's probably not worth the gamble.
How rare is Seel?
Right now there are 211 total graded copies of Seel on record, and out of those, 66 have made it to PSA 10. That's a fairly generous slice landing in gem mint, which tells you Seel isn't a nightmare to find in top condition compared to some tougher Neo Destiny cards. Still, population numbers like these are exactly why the PSA 10 price sits so much higher than the raw one. Scarcity at the top end is what collectors pay for, even on a common.
Where can you pull Seel?
We've tracked 66 recorded pulls of Seel across collector-crypt, tilt-rips, and courtyard, so it does show up in the wild if you're opening packs. It's turned up in things like the Elite Pokémon Gacha Pack, Pokemon Dime Pack, Pokémon Pro Pack, Pokémon Starter Pack, and The Amazing Chase Encore. The biggest single pull value we've logged for Seel was $217, which is a nice reminder that pack odds and card value don't always line up the way you'd expect. Just keep in mind, opening packs is a gamble no matter what site you use, and most rips don't come out ahead, so treat it as fun first and profit second.
Questions people ask
How much is Seel worth?+
A raw, ungraded Seel from Neo Destiny is valued at $1. Its price climbs a lot once graded, especially at the higher grades, so condition really matters here.
Is Seel worth grading?+
It depends on the copy. A PSA 10 sells for $24, which is 18.3x the $1 raw price, so a truly clean copy can make grading worthwhile. But grading costs money regardless of outcome, so only send in Seel if it genuinely looks gem mint.
How much is a PSA 10 Seel worth?+
A PSA 10 Seel is currently valued at $24. Out of 211 total graded copies, 66 have reached that PSA 10 grade, so it's achievable but not a given.
