Zubat has always been one of those cards that sneaks up on you: a common little bat Pokemon from the Mysterious Treasures set that turns out to have a real following once you see it in reverse holo. If you are digging into Zubat value, the short answer is that raw copies sit at $3, but graded copies tell a much more interesting story, especially once you get into gem mint territory.

The collector's take on Zubat

Is Zubat worth grading?

So is Zubat worth grading? A raw copy runs about $3, and a PSA 10 is worth 27.4x that at $89, which is a real jump for a card most people would overlook in a bulk box. A Grade 9 sits at $31, which shows how much of the value is locked up in that top gem mint grade rather than spread evenly across the scale. The catch is that gem mint 10s are genuinely hard to land, grading fees and turnaround time add real cost and risk, and there is no guarantee your copy comes back at a 10 instead of a 9 or lower. If you already have a copy that looks sharp under a loupe, with clean edges and no whitening, it can be worth sending in. If it is a rough pull, it is probably better loved as is or sold raw.

How rare is Zubat?

Only 28 graded copies of this Zubat exist across all grading services, and just 2 of those are PSA 10. That is an extremely tight population for a top grade, and it explains why the jump from raw to PSA 10 is so dramatic in price. When a card is this scarce in gem mint condition, every small movement in demand can push the price around, so those 2 PSA 10 copies carry a lot of weight in the market.

Where can you pull Zubat?

This is where PackSpy's own pull data comes in handy, because we track real rips across pack sites rather than just guessing. Zubat Reverse Holo #108 has been pulled 200 or more times across sites we monitor, including tilt-rips, collector-crypt, and courtyard, and the biggest recorded pull value for this card was $91. It has shown up in packs like the Pokemon Dime Pack, Starter Pokemon Gacha Pack, Wildcard Basic Pack, Pokemon Master Pack, and Pokemon Starter Pack. Worth remembering that opening packs is a gamble and most rips do not turn a profit, but if you are chasing this Zubat specifically, those are the pack types where collectors have actually found it.

Questions people ask

How much is Zubat worth?+

A raw or ungraded Zubat Reverse Holo #108 is worth about $3. Once graded, the value climbs a lot, with a Grade 9 at $31 and a PSA 10 reaching $89, which is 27.4 times the raw price.

Is Zubat worth grading?+

It depends on the condition of your copy. With only 28 graded copies total and just 2 at PSA 10, gem mint status is rare and pays off well at $89, but grading always carries cost and the risk of coming back lower than a 10, so it makes most sense for copies that already look near perfect.

Why is the Zubat Reverse Holo #108 print worth more than the standard one?+

The reverse holo treatment gives Zubat a shine and visual pop that the standard non-holo print does not have, and collectors tend to pay more for that extra detail. Combined with a small graded population of just 28 copies, that added desirability is a big part of why this version carries real value while the plain print largely does not.
