Kabutops #150 is one of the quiet legends of the Skyridge set, that lovely last E-Card series Pokemon put out back in 2003 before the whole line took a breather. Atsuko Nishida's artwork gives this rocky, blade-armed fossil Pokemon a real presence, and as a Rare card from a set collectors still chase hard, it holds genuine weight. If you're trying to pin down Kabutops value right now, the short answer is that a raw copy sits at $505, which tells you this isn't a bulk-bin card, it's one people actively hunt.

The collector's take on Kabutops

Is Kabutops worth grading?

So is it worth grading? Here's the honest version: a raw Kabutops runs $505, a Grade 9 jumps to $4,553, and a PSA 10 commands $30,422, which works out to 60.2 times the raw price. That's a massive gap, and it's exactly why people get grading fever over this card. But gem mint is genuinely hard to hit, Skyridge cards from this era often show print lines, edge wear, or centering quirks that keep them out of that top tier. Grading costs money and takes time, and there's no guarantee your copy comes back a 10 instead of a 9, so look closely at your card's corners, surface, and centering before you send it in. If it looks clean to your eye already, the reward can be real, but go in knowing the risk too.

How rare is Kabutops?

Across all grading companies, only 1,542 copies of Kabutops have been graded, and of those, just 260 have earned a PSA 10. That means roughly one in six graded copies reaches gem mint, which isn't impossibly rare, but it's far from easy either. For a 2003 card, that population is a reminder of how much handling and age work against survival in top condition, and it's a big part of why the PSA 10 price sits so far above the raw and Grade 9 figures. Scarcity at the top end is really what drives this card's ceiling.

Where can you pull Kabutops?

PackSpy has tracked Kabutops being pulled 10 times across live pack sites, specifically trove and courtyard, with the biggest recorded pull landing at $965. We've also seen it turn up in packs like Pokemon Starter, Pocket Monsters Reserve, Pokemon VIP (Spicy), Pokemon Diamond (Spicy), and Pokemon Diamond Pack. That's the kind of real-world pull data no static price guide gives you, it's one thing to know what a card is worth on paper, it's another to see it actually come out of a pack and sell. Worth saying plainly though: pack opening is gambling, and most rips don't come close to covering what you spent, so treat these sightings as fun context rather than a strategy.

Questions people ask

How much is Kabutops worth?+

A raw, ungraded Kabutops #150 from Skyridge is valued at $505. Graded copies climb from there, with a Grade 9 worth $4,553 and a PSA 10 reaching $30,422, so condition makes a huge difference to Kabutops price.

Is Kabutops worth grading?+

It can be, since a PSA 10 is worth 60.2 times the raw card's $505 value. But only 260 out of 1,542 graded copies have hit that top grade, so it really depends on how sharp your specific card looks before you commit to the cost and wait of grading.

How much is a PSA 10 Kabutops worth?+

A PSA 10 Kabutops is valued at $30,422. That's a steep jump from the $505 raw price and the $4,553 Grade 9 figure, reflecting just how few copies, 260 out of 1,542 graded total, reach gem mint condition.
