Magnemite #76 comes from Skyridge, the 2003 set that closed out the original Wizards of the Coast era, and there's something charming about a little magnet Pokemon showing up in a set collectors still talk about today. It's a common card illustrated by Shin-ichi Yoshida, so it was never meant to be rare, but that hasn't stopped people from asking about Magnemite value years later. Right now the raw version sits at $6, which tells you this is more of a nostalgia pickup than an investment play, and that's perfectly fine.

The collector's take on Magnemite

Is Magnemite worth grading?

So is Magnemite worth grading? Let's talk it through honestly. A raw copy goes for $6, a Grade 9 sits at $46, and a PSA 10 tops out at $49, which works out to about 8.2 times the raw price once it hits gem mint. That jump looks tempting on paper, but grading costs money and time regardless of what comes back, and there's no guarantee your copy grades that high. Out of 193 total graded copies, 84 have reached PSA 10, so it does happen with some regularity, but you're still sending off a common card and hoping the corners, centering, and surface all line up. If you've already got a copy sitting in a binder and you love the process of grading, it can be worth the shot. If you're doing it purely for profit on a $6 card, the math is thinner than it looks once fees are factored in.

How rare is Magnemite?

Scarcity is a funny word to use for a common card, but the numbers still tell a story. Only 193 copies of Magnemite have been graded across all grades, and of those, 84 sit at PSA 10. That's a fairly high percentage of gem mints relative to the total population, which suggests this card grades well when people bother to send it in, but it also means the raw pool of graded copies is small to begin with. For a common from Skyridge, that population size keeps things modest rather than explosive, and it's part of why the PSA 10 price holds around $49 instead of climbing much higher.

Where can you pull Magnemite?

This is where PackSpy's own data comes in handy, because we track real pulls across pack sites rather than relying on price guides alone. Magnemite has been pulled 134 times across platforms like collector-crypt, tilt-rips, courtyard, lastpack, and mnstr, and the biggest recorded pull value we've logged for it sits at $123. It's shown up in packs like the Starter Pokemon Gacha Pack, Pokemon Dime Pack, Wildcard Basic Pack, rookie, and Pokemon Starter Pack, so if you're chasing it specifically, those are the kinds of packs where it's actually turned up. Just remember that opening packs is a gamble in general, and most rips don't cover their cost, so treat any Magnemite pull as a nice bonus rather than the goal itself.

Questions people ask

How much is Magnemite worth?+

A raw, ungraded Magnemite #76 from Skyridge is valued at $6. If you're wondering how much is Magnemite worth in graded form, a Grade 9 sits at $46 and a PSA 10 reaches $49, so condition makes a real difference here.

Is Magnemite worth grading?+

It depends on your goals. A PSA 10 is worth about 8.2 times the raw price, and with 84 out of 193 graded copies reaching that top grade, it's achievable, but grading fees and the small raw value mean the profit margin is tight.

How much is a PSA 10 Magnemite worth?+

A PSA 10 Magnemite currently sits at $49, compared to $6 for a raw copy and $46 for a Grade 9. There are 84 PSA 10 copies out of 193 total graded, so gem mint examples exist but aren't the majority.
